Our Clients, a semi-retired couple required

a modern rural retreat. They spent 3-4 days a week in the country, while often hosting guests and family overnight. The House was designed as two pavilions, allowing sections of the house to be ‘shut away’ when not required and distinguishing the ‘guest wing’. Large Sliding windows on the north-eastern facade maximise views, light and warmth. Heavy brickwork was used to create solid form, re-enforcing the sense of shelter. The interiors include sophisticated juxtaposition of textures and modern finishes to create an intimate and comfortable environment.
